The Lost Ones

In this exploration of Luke 15:4-32, we dive into the heart of Jesus' parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and prodigal son. These stories challenge us to reconsider our understanding of value, attention, and love in God's kingdom. Rather to see beyond the recognizing that these aren't just tales of the lost being found, but of the profound care and urgency with which God seeks us. The shepherd leaving 99 sheep to find one, the woman searching tirelessly for a single coin, and the father welcoming his extravagant welcome - all paint a picture of a God who notices, pursues, and celebrates each individual. However, we're also cautioned not to overlook those who've stayed faithful, like the elder son. This message calls us to embody this all-encompassing love in our communities, valuing both those who wander and those who remain, as we strive for wholeness in a fragmented world.
