As a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we affirm the following belief statement:
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and we proclaim Him as Lord and Savior. Through baptism into Christ, we enter into a life of faith, service, and community. We celebrate God's love each week in the sharing of Communion, welcoming all to Christ’s table. As disciples, we are continually growing—in spirit, wisdom, fellowship, teaching, and prayer—within a nurturing community of love, acceptance, care, and hope. Called to shared ministry, we strive to follow Christ’s example in all we do. With joyful commitment, we dedicate ourselves to the One whose kingdom has no end.
There is one eternally existing God who lives in perfect relationship as three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. From the beginning, God has entered into covenant with creation—calling, guiding, and remaining faithful to humanity through love and grace. As the creator of all that is seen and unseen, God is worthy of all worship and praise. God’s character is revealed in steadfast love, justice, mercy, and truth, and God remains unchanging—faithful yesterday, today, and forever—in relationship with all who seek and follow.
God has revealed God’s self to us most fully in Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God and the fulfillment of God’s covenantal promise to be with us. In Jesus, we encounter God’s love made flesh—walking among us, teaching, healing, and reconciling. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus invites us into a restored relationship with God and one another, embodying the faithfulness of God's eternal covenant. We come to know him not only through the holy scriptures and the witness of creation, but also through the ongoing presence of Christ in the community of faith.
The Church is the covenant community of believers, called into relationship with God and with one another as the visible body of Christ in the world. Formed by God's grace and sustained by the Holy Spirit, the Church lives out Christ’s mission by embodying love, justice, and reconciliation. As a people bound together in covenant, the Church proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ—not only in word, but through lives of faithful witness, mutual care, and service to the world God so deeply loves.
